Knights of the Valley is supported by AV Robotics Club, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
The Knights are always looking for assistance from the community. We also understand monetary donations are not the only things needed. If you or someone you know would like to contribute to the team, below is a list of other ways you can contribute.
Donate - Click the button in the top banner to give a tax-deductible donation via PayPal. Or ask the company you work at if they would sponsor us (it doesn't have to be an engeneering company! It could be anything!)
Snacks - Starting in January every year, the students start spending a lot of time putting together the robot for the season, which includes long hours in the workshop, which calls for snacks.
Lunches - For the same reason as above, the students work long hours, and in crunch time, sometimes there are days when they are there through lunch and dinner. Any assistance with feeding the students is helpful. Hint: they really like pizza, ARIZON ICED TEA, and Nut Rolls.
Gift Cards - To build a robot, I'm sure most can imagine that there are a lot of supplies needed. Gift cards for the following companies would benefit the team greatly for building the robots.
Home Depot / Menards / Fleet-Farm / Ace Hardware
Harbor Freight / Northern Tool
Joann Fabrics (RIP) / Michael's
Amazon
Time - Any time anyone can spare to help the team is most appreciated. Our team members have grown in recent years, but we aren't growing in mentors as much as we have in students. There are many different skill sets that the team finds handy. Some examples besides the typical programming, mechanical, and electrical engineering media would be a great contribution: sponsorships, graphic design, costume/pit design, writing paragraphs for award applications, and social media platforms.
Think Outside the Box - if you don't see something here that you would like to offer, do not hesitate to reach out.
